Julie Arthur's  inspiration for her brand "Sound To Sea" comes from the down east fishing town Stacy where she grew up. Julie and her husband Casey live in Beaufort with their furry animals...he is a well known "Decoy Carver" and Firechief in Atlantic Beach!

Paintings, Sculptures, Jewelry

Paintings by Stephen Moore

Stephen is primarily a plein air and studio painter working in mainly acrylics. He began painting in 1980 while still working in his career in family medicine. After retiring to the coast and the mountains with his wife and artist Susan, he strives to paint daily..and no subject matter is left out...boats, pelicans, beach party gatherings and local sites such as Cape Lookout just to name a few. His realistic style expands the wide spectrum of colors and textures. Folks recognize his work once they step in the gallery in the front of our shop!

Sculptures by Clark Humphries

Clark is a self-taught metal sculptor, combining copper with driftwood to create "one of a kind" pieces in subjects ranging from sea turtles, wind blown trees, and little angelic "praising women". He is also an avid gardener, growing loofa sponges from which he takes  art to another level, creating loofa "exfoliating" soaps and more recently a loofa lamp...which is quite a conversation piece. He gives credit to his talents to his mother Jose and aunt Flora Ann Passino who were both well known watercolor artists in this area.

Paintings by Maria Morando

Originally from massachusetts, Maria has a degree in Fine Art from the University of New Hampshire. Finding oils to be her favorite medium to paint in, she's received numerous awards in several subject matters with a classical style, vibrant color palette.

Paintings by Deanna Grant

Deanna , originally from Lewisville, NC, hAS been painting for several years, Inspired by nature, she captures a subject's true essence with her ability to paint the light, color, and shapes of what she sees. Her favorite medium to work in is oil. She's traveled on several painting trips with other artists and draws inspiration from those adventures. Her "sought after style" varies from impressionistic to very realistic in primarily coastal scenes.

Quilted Wall Hangings By Naida Koraly

Naida likes to think of painting with fabric as her medium... with raw-edge applique as her technique. She finds every day to be a new and wondrous adventure, filled with diverse and interesting people, starting each day exclaiming “ah….life!” This statement has become her tagline, and is stitched in lower case cursive, hidden somewhere in each of her fabric art creations as a reminder of the joy each day of life can bring. She's also received recent recognition in several local art shows for her unique pieces.

Photography by Wells Edmundson

Wells has an innate ability to capture what is called a "decisive moment" in his photography...you have to be in the right place at the right time...his works include tranquil coastal sunsets, snow scenes, & beautiful scenes from nature. Recently retired as a physician in the Raleigh area,  Wells is now enjoying being in the Atlantic Beach area where he continues to capture beautiful images!

Paintings by Doug Key

A "lifelong" artist and musician, Doug paints in oils and acrylics depending on the subject matter...a classical painting style can be seen in several works that are influenced by his many travels to France...and again, he paints with amazing realism of jockeys on horses, colorful coastal scenes, and windsurfers, which is a hobby of his.

Paintings by Jean Sonberg

Jean's extensive travels as a young child through the current years with like artists..she's gained inspiration in her love for oil painting, and versatility in a wide range of subjects from coastal scenes, flowers, shorebirds, cows, and environmental portraits of beachcombers and even surfers!

Paintings by Susan Woodson

After years with Roundabout Art Collective and Moondog Cottage in Raleigh, Susan Woodson now has her own personal studio located in Raleigh where she is her husband's biggest cheerleader...NCSU Chancellor randy! Her latest love is creating whimsical images of birds then printing them on silk.

Paintings by Debra Stinson

After retiring from teaching in the Carteret County Public School System, she began taking watercolor classes. “I loved the looseness, freshness and spontaneity of watercolor,” she noted. While her medium may have changed to primarily oils, she still finds passion in the creative process.

Paintings by Susan Love Moore

These little acrylic gems come on a 6 x 6 gallery wrapped canvas...a perfect size and imagery for small spaces in your kitchen that need a splash of whimsy! Susan and husband, artist Stephen Moore continue to create beautiful paintings of our surrounding coastal areas, and NC mountains.

Paintings by Pam Cooper

Pam enjoys painting primarily in oils with diverse subjects in nature including birds, horses, waves, and colorful landscapes. She is also quite active with our local art's council and the proud parent of two successful children, Hallock Howard, owner of Amos Mosquito's Restaurant and Atlantic Beach Mayor, Trace Cooper.

Paintings by Marty Snyder

Marty is an architect and painter sharing his time between High Point and Pine Knoll Shores. He has an impeccable eye and talent for painting "photographic" quality landscapes, and local iconic places. His medium of choice is mainly oils. We are thrilled to add several of his works to our gallery, selling 2 pieces before getting them on the walls!

Paintings by Michelle Fields-Laughinghouse

Michelle enjoys painting all types of subjects..the most recent is a large
36 x 48 abstract study called "Coral Reef from the Sky". She loves working in vibrant imaginative color schemes often using acrylic on canvas with an epoxy overlay. Her versatility of subjects and mediums is not often seen in many artists...she's also well known for her whimsical floral images she paints on canvas.  She's helped raise money for various charity events through the sales of her cards showing the many floral paintings she's created.

Paintings, Trays, Furniture & More Cool Items by Grace Bell

Martha Taylor

Painting had always been an interest of Martha's, but with her career in the food, flower and interior design fields, being a wife and full time mom..she had to put off painting until later in life. After retiring in 2019, she underwent double knee replacement which spurred on her desire to go ahead and take a few painting workshops while recovering...it was such a fun adventure...she continues to paint and loves the joy it brings!

Colleen Knight

FIber Art
Colleen's whimsical felted creations are little gems with glass eyes and colorful coordinating “hand felted” wool... instantly taking you back to your childhood imagination, often lost as we grow old and gray! Each one has a special story that’s easily recognizable…the little mouse with the fishing rod and tiny bucket of beer..the garden mouse with his carrot & berry..the mouse with the cookie and of course the fairies & mermaids! Colleen has also created beautiful long range landscape views in her framed pieces and felted purses of which we have a few selections as well! ANY of these would make a unique gift for mom! Colleen’s felted creations began in May 2020 in the midst of the Covid atmosphere, while caring for her mother who was just diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, and her father who had Alzheimer’s. Tag teaming with her sister, they shared caregiving 3-4 weeks at a time. Needing a creative outlet, she purchased a felt kit and started making little bunnies and gnomes wherein she realized that not only did these little creations bring her solace, they seemed to bring a little joy to everyone who saw them. She was quickly addicted to the craft ! Colleen shows in various craft markets and now in our shop! Colleen has lived in Washington, NC since 2015 with her husband Vann.
